Coming Home
What I've been Up to...
I can't believe it has been almost 6 months since I've sent out a blog! I missed you guys. I've been very busy moving & adapting. But I've primarily been DESIGNING! Expanding beyond nurseries has allowed me to really spread my wings. I'm now doing Kitchens, Bathrooms, Basements, Living Rooms & complete renovations!! #overjoyed
Not being within the store's 4 walls, has surprisingly been very freeing. It is so nice to hit the road & travel to my clients. It's easier & more convenient for me to be in their homes, inside their spaces, sipping coffee at their tables.
WAZE is my new best friend!
"You can always come home."
I'm not sure if this saying was referring to a business, but as the snow/ice melted, that is exactly what I did. I wasn't sure how it would be to work from home. Especially with little ones. Yet, it's very productive & I've even found creative ways to have work & family balance.
Design Studio At Home
Designing a new work space has been my new obsession. I just didn't know I would be designing inside my house. Having a dedicated workspace, where I could house all of my resources was very important to me. Being organized is key to making the move to home work.
I choose Natart's UnMess bookcases. I love the Oak wood & the ability to have hanging space & adjustable shelves. It also doesn't hurt that they are on wheels. I had my girl Meredith from Frame Ave come out & hang my Bungalow 5 Mirror. As well as redesign my now displaced photo gallery. With perfect lighting from Worlds Away, the space was set.
