24 Hours in Baltimore
So I'm a California Girl. Although I've been in DC for 15 years now, there are still so many local places I haven't been to & so much I haven’t seen. Thus, when my girlfriend came to town, we escaped to B-more for a quick 24 hours to celebrate 25 years of friendship & 40 years of life. And it was GREAT! We spent the afternoon at the BMA (Baltimore Museum of Art) and the next full day at the Four Seasons Spa & Pool. It was HEAVENLY. I dare to say, best spa I've found in DC area
INSPIRED BY ART
I really enjoyed the BMA. I found the museum quite lovely & the collections well curated. It wasn't so big, overwhelming or crowded. The Cone Sisters Collection had some real treasures. I love looking at the art of the masters & finding design inspiration. I am already building fabrics directly inspired from these pieces. (look for the layouts in future blogs.)
TIMELESS ARCHITECTURE
The American collection has historic rooms that were removed from old Maryland homes from the 1700s. I am always amazed how these classic features from hundreds of years ago are still admired & found in furniture & design today.
MOMMY TIME
Being a mom is a full- time physical & mental job. You deserve a break. And the Spa & Pool at the Four Seasons Baltimore is where you should take it. The property is nestled in the Harbor with amazing views. I've been searching for a great spa in the DC area where you can spend the entire day. I want full amenities--Relaxation room, Sauna, Steam Room, Whirlpool, Outdoor space & Pool. With top-notch service, beauty & spa etiquette, I've finally found it. With a simple hour drive to Baltimore, you can get exactly what you need.
