Landon’s Land: Creating a Sweet Boho Nursery
Absolutely nothing compares to the excitement of expecting your 1st baby. There is just so much to consider and prepare for. But, the nursery is always #1, because it beats so close to the heart. The nursery encompasses everything baby. So it’s my JOB to create that perfect space for families. That’s why I was thrilled to work with newly pregnant parents Elleni & Jason. Helping them navigate this special time and bring their vision for the nursery to fruition was so important.
The process of creating a design is always unique to each client. There are key features to an “Everly & Monet” design, but my style is their style. My strength is the ability to morph into who my clients are, thus understanding their needs are crucial. Elleni knew she wanted some dramatic elements in the room. She wanted to create a geometric paneled wall to give the room some depth. We highlight the baby’s name in carved 3D wood lettering. It was important for Elleni to incorporate her Ethiopian culture and heritage into the space. We used family heirloom Ethiopian crosses and the Amharic alphabet to add a true authenticity to the room. We were able to do that with family heirloom Ethiopian Crosses and an Amharic Fidel alphabet.
There are a few essential pieces when designing a nursery: Crib, Glider, Changer, Window Treatments & Storage. It’s all about the unique way you put your personal spin on them. We wanted floor to ceiling curtains that added texture & depth into the space. Finding an open arched wooden bookcase was a treat. The natural element really grounds the room and gives us an interesting focal point. Then layering a super soft rug over carpet, gives warmth and comfort, while anchoring the crib.

To help my clients see the space, I always use drawings before purchasing items or installing a crib. This ensures the right fit and layout.
Welcome: Baby Landon!
It was such a pleasure designing for Elleni & Jason to create a beautiful nursery for their son. I was pleased with the final result & so were they.
